The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes. The piano afternoons and matinees are for them, about them, and inspired by them. At selected events of the season, Hungarian singers perform popular excerpts from Wagner’s Ring, selections from songs by R. Strauss, and arias by Verdi and Puccini, all presented with piano accompaniment. And of course, it is only fitting that alongside these programmes devoted to the works of international composers, there should also be an event featuring Hungarian opera arias. Two concerts pay tribute to Kodály, who plays a central role in this season. Another one traditionally organised in remembrance of Miklós Ybl, architect of the Opera House. Hungarian in every respect – international in standard.

Featuring: Andrea Brassói-Jőrös, Erika Gál, István Kovácsházi, Csaba Sándor, István Rácz
Featuring on piano: N. N.
