Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Le nozze di Figaro
Comic opera in two parts, four acts, in Italian, with Hungarian surtitles

Standing at the centre of this opera relating, with scintillating wit, the chaotic events of the "day of madness" and a wedding nearly gone up in smoke are the already familiar and clever barber from Seville and his spirited love, Susanna. But there is also much, much more... Human emotions, desires, dreams and disappointments, which Mozart's balanced and ornate music depicts not only with irony, but also with humanity.
Judit Galgóczy's direction focuses on the dynamic and pulsating game of everyone appearing different to what they are and desiring something other than what they have. On the stage, everything is alive, pulsing and moving, as the music swells forth...

Our offer

Ifj. Johann Strauss egyik legnépszerűbb műve, A cigánybáró a Jókai200 emlékév keretében kerül színpadra a Budapesti Operettszínházban. A darab 1885-ben, a Theater an der Wienben aratott először sikert, amikor a zeneszerző Ignaz Schnitzer librettójára komponálta meg nagyszabású operettjét Jókai Mór Szaffi című elbeszélése nyomán.

Recirquel’s new production, Paradisum explores the myth of rebirth following the silence of a destroyed world, where the means of communication is the body, and the only common language is movement. The creatures of this idyllic existence unfold from the ever-changing, swirling natural forces of the ‘fabric of life’ that pulsates around them, so they can reach the anima mundi, the world soul, through scenes of purification, birth, awakening and ritual.
