The Dresch Quartet has been playing in its current lineup for four years, and its founder, the highly acclaimed Mihály Dresch, has been a key figure in Hungarian music since the 1980s. This year he was awarded the Kossuth Prize. His band consistently and confidently treads its own unique path with an individual fusion of Hungarian folk music and African-American jazz, developed by the leader and the members. Kálmán Imre egyik legnépszerűbb operettjében Marica grófnő kétségbeesett útkeresését követhetjük nyomon, ahogyan a szerelem elől menekülve, egy új szerelmet talál. A birtokosnő már unja a társaságbeli férfiakat, így egy kitalált, képzeletbeli vőlegénnyel riasztja el kérőit. Így sem menekülhet: megismerkedik birtokának gazdatisztjével, a tönkrement Tasziló gróffal, aki álnéven húga kelengyéjére gyűjt. A történet egyre bonyolódik, a dallamok pedig egyre édesebbek: minden adott egy remek, szövevényes szerelmi szállal átfont operetthez.
A Láncreakció Vajda Katalin drámája, amely az atombomba feltalálásának körülményeit vizsgálja, és középpontjába Szilárd Leó, a zseniális magyar fizikus alakját állítja. A mű egy rendhagyó, erkölcsi értelemben vett „tárgyalás” formájában idézi meg a 20. század egyik legmeghatározóbb történelmi pillanatát, miközben színre lépnek azok a tudósok is – köztük Albert Einstein és Werner Heisenberg –, akik döntéseikkel és felismeréseikkel alapvetően formálták az emberiség sorsát. A darab feszült, intellektuálisan izgalmas és gondolatébresztő szöveg, amely történelmi események színre vitelével a jelen számára is érvényes kérdéseket vet fel.
