LIFT2 (ELEVATOR2)
Sunny Sky Floor
LIFT2 – Sunny Sky Floor is an abstract spatial experience, an inner journey that explores questions of love, conflict, control, decision, and the inevitable moving forward. The elevator is a space of infinite possibilities, closeness, proximity or even detachment, drifting—it keeps going, even when no one is certain anymore where it leads.
At the center of the choreography is the journey, not the destination. But what happens if the destination does not exist? How far can one continue in a direction that no one has defined?
Sunny Sky Floor is a paradoxical space: bright, infinite, yet unsettling. A place that feels like a promise while continuously forcing movement.
The choreographer describes the concept as follows: “The elevator works. Too well. It doesn’t get stuck, doesn’t ask, doesn’t stop. It carries you onward, even when no one knows anymore if they chose to. How far can you go toward a place that no one has marked? And what if the destination doesn’t exist—only the journey.”
